Plan Your Visit at Hyattsville Baptist Church

Everybody is welcome at Hyattsville, no matter where you’re from or who you are.
We are glad you are interested in learning more about our church, and here’s a little bit about what to expect.

Welcome to HBC.
We recommend that guests get here about 15 minutes before the start of a worship gathering, particularly if it is your first time with us or if you have kids.

Once you get parked, you will be greeted by a volunteer who can help to point you in the right direction. After entering the building, you will find an information table, where our volunteers will help you find out everything you need to know about HBC.

Choose a worship gathering.
We have three regular opportunities to worship on-campus at HBC each week. All gatherings offer a Gospel-centered, biblical, and practical message, and are around 60 minutes in length.

Our 10:30am Worship Gathering features congregational singing, prayer, giving, fellowship and quarterly communion. It is also when our Church Online service is broadcast on Facebook Live.

Our weekly Prayer Meetings are held on Sunday evenings at 6pm. It offers traditional hymns and congregational singing, along with a different message, all centered around gathering specifically to pray worshipfully, thankfully, confessionally, and for both local and global concerns.

Our Midweek Worship Gathering is weekly on Wednesday nights at 7pm for adults, kids and students. This is a time that centers primarily on a devotional and practical message, along with prayer for missionaries and for the advance of the good news in our church.

We aren’t worried about your clothes.
There is no dress code at Hyattsville. Everyone is welcome, regardless of how they are most comfortably dressed for worship. Some prefer dress shirts and pants, while others wear t-shirts and jeans. We’re just glad you’re here, no matter what you wear.

We’re all about the kids.
HBC loves kids, and we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which families can worship and grow together. As we seek to protect and minister to each family, we require all parents to provide information at our check-in station upon dropping your child off. Your information will remain confidential, and a volunteer will be more than happy to make the check-in process as smooth as possible.

If your children are in grades K-2, we have a special children’s church time of worship for them. They will be dismissed during the worship gathering, and we encourage you to escort your children to our children’s church room for both drop-off and at pick-up. This allows us to be as secure and safe as possible, and have no fear: our volunteers will help you find your way!

We’re looking forward to your visit!
